Scott's Worlds Toughest Row

My Story
Two years ago, I decided to give rowing a try. I discovered Fulham Reach Boat Club, completed their Learn to Row program, and immediately fell in love with the sport. Rowing has become so much more than just exercise for me—it's a powerful mental outlet, a reason to stay fit, a constant challenge, and a source of lifelong friendships.
While rowing at Fulham Reach, I learned about the incredible work they do to make this sport accessible to everyone. They give state school students the chance to row, building their confidence and teamwork skills. They host free watersports weeks during school holidays and offer bursaries for young rowers. Their Boats Not Bars program is equally inspiring, using rowing to reduce reoffending rates by providing inmates with opportunities to join indoor and outdoor rowing clubs.
I often wish I had found this sport earlier in life. It has had such a positive impact on me, and I know firsthand how transformative it can be for young people.
Now, I'm taking on the world’s toughest rowing challenge: a 3,000-mile, unsupported journey across the Atlantic Ocean. This means missing my birthday, Christmas, and New Year’s to test my limits and hopefully inspire young people to embrace opportunities that challenge and change them.
In preparation, I’ve pushed myself in ways I never thought possible: carrying a Concept2 rowing machine up the Three Peaks of the UK and completing my first ultra marathon.
Any donation, no matter how small, will go a long way in supporting Fulham Reach Boat Club and the young people they empower. Thank you for helping me make a difference!
And a huge thank you to everyone who donated towards the UK Three Peaks Challenge, the safety equipment we were able to purchase will be donated to FRBC for the young people and coaches to use while out on the water!
